This might be a little confusing but here is what you do Base

Step One: Go to deviantart.com and download the desired brushes .
StepTwo: Make a New Folder, name it what you want, maybe GIMP Brushes
Step Three:After your brushes are download they should appear in a new window, after that on the left hand side there should be a "Extract All Files", Press that.
Step Four: On the Extraction Page, where it says which folder to put the in, select the New Folder (GIMP Brushes)
Step Five: After the Brushes are in the New Folder, Open up GIMP
Step Six: Go to File>Open on the top there should be some links, in one them there should be a ".gimp-2.2" folder, Press that.
Step Seven: In that Folder there should be another folder called "brushes" press that but don't enter it
Step Eight: On the left side there should be an "Add", press it than "brushes" should appear there
Step Nine: Then File>Open then open one brush
Step Ten: Once its open go to Dialogues>Layers, then in the corner there should be a black and grey checkboard square and a checkbox next to it press that so a green checkmark appears
Step Eleven: Once that is done press File>Save As
Step Twelve: On that Page press the dropbox by "Save In Folder" and press "brushes".
Step Thirteen: press "Select File Type(By Extension)"
Step Fourteen: scroll down until you see "GIMP Brush" with a paint brush in front of it, press that, than press "Save".
Step Fifteen: then a box called "Export File" should appear when it does just make sure that "Convert to RGB" is folled in green, then press "Export"
Step Sixteen: After that another box should appear called "Save As Brush", the spacing should be 10, then press "Ok"
Step Seventeen: Repeat the following for every brush.
Step Eighteen: when that is all done go to "The GIMP" page and Double Click on the big black dot so that a page appears called "Brushes" (if you don't understand tell me and i will show you a pic)
Step Nineteen: Maximize the page than in the bottom right hand corner there should be two green arrows, which symbolizes refresh, press that and your brushes should appear!
Step Twenty: Enjoy all of your brushes and get creative Wink

If there is anything you don't undertsand just tell me and I will see what I can do to straighten in out, hope I can help, and Good Luck Exclamation

C4D Stands for Cinema 4D..They are basically only absract renders that you put in your sig or avvy to make it look better!...you can find them on Planet Renders!..but you have to create a account!

Here is the link:

Planet Renders
The C4D's are the "Absract 3D Renders"
When you click one you have to click it again to make it big...then you save it!

The lines you are talking abut are called Scanlines!...they can be made two ways

The first way is:
Filters>Distorts>Video>3x3

The second way is: Making them by yourslef...to do so, look at this Tutorial

GIMP Scanlines Tutorial

You can make bigger scanlines...just use bigger images...
For Example:
6x6
12x12
18x18
24x24
30x30

You make them the same way....

I hope that helped Base! Wink
